Every summer Elays Network organises residential trips for groups of 30 young people. These activities are designed to take participants out of their normal environment and comfort zones and engage them in a variety of activities designed to build soft skills such as leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
In their downtime period post-6pm, Participants engage in discussions around various social issues and potential solutions. These issues include school exclusion, knife crime and mental health. Some of the young people who attended Elays Residential activities went on and developed Elays Big Iftar, a yearly Iftar event for the local communities to break fast, connect and engage. Elays voices, A youtube platform where young people discuss youth related issues and many more.
